Working closely with the art director at Blenheim, Stephen was briefed on the look that needed to be achieved. The idea was to have the models' ears appear larger than life to visually support the "We're all Ears" campaign headline. Franklin began with some initial clean-up of the foreground model, preparing to add the oversized ears. He then blended the shots, paying particular attention to light and shadow, adding realism to the composition. The result was an image that looked eerily natural and demanded a second glance by any passers-by.

Main shot with foreground model and two models behind.

Ear photography shot separately in tight format.
Unedited photography from the location shoot. The ear shots were taken separately and combined during the retouching of the final composition.

A secondary hero image was also created using the female model for use in other advertising formats such as a newspaper strip ad.

The final hero image was produced with a full frame background to allow for various campaign formats.
