A user on Behance approached Stephen on behalf of their photographic studio. They lacked in-house digital retouching expertise and needed a professional to handle some automotive retouching for an upcoming project. Franklin offered to work up a single test image to determine a per-unit cost. The exercise aimed to determine if the studio could shoot bracketed exposures and send the files through for clean-up before supplying the work to their client. Although the studio was happy with the results, the project did not proceed. Nonetheless, it allowed Stephen to flex his retouching skills in the automotive genre.

Stephen removed all background cars, people, or other distracting objects. He then pushed the overall look to suit the mood of the original image while lifting out the car.
