Supplied with raw design files from LFH Brand Packaging, Stephen was tasked with cleaning up and preparing this artwork for final print production. This involved detailing the Slavutych crest and glyphs, as well as separating this complex artwork into six special colours plus a white plate. Stephen chose to build the artwork completely in Adobe Illustrator including the complex masking needed to create the white separation. This avoided the time-consuming process of building this base white layer completely in Photoshop, thereby removing any issues with misregistration of design elements. The result was a well-constructed and highly editable piece of artwork built from a single source file.

The final label design used multiple colours including gold, layered over a silver substrate.

Neck label shown here on a simulation of the silver substrate.

Body label with simulated gold and silver specials.

White plate layer construction in Adobe Illustrator.
Complex white plates were created in Illustrator using the existing vector paths and then exported to Photoshop. These files were then imported back into Illustrator to replace the vector art and reduce imaging time.
